Privacy Policy

Strata Analytics ("we") provides a financial intelligence platform that analyzes your company's accounting data to produce indicators, alerts, forecasts and recommendations. This policy explains what data we process and how we protect it.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email and hashed password of registered users.
  • Company data: name, tax ID, currency and the team members you add to a workspace.
  • QuickBooks financial data: when you connect QuickBooks Online via OAuth 2.0 authorization, we sync the chart of accounts, invoices, expenses, payments, deposits, journal entries and the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reports. We use this data solely to compute your metrics and analysis.
  • Data you upload manually: Excel, CSV or PDF files with financial reports.

2. How we use your data

  • To compute KPIs, the Business Health Score, the STRATA Financial DNA™, alerts, forecasts and the AI analyst's answers.
  • To operate, maintain and improve the platform.
  • To send you transactional emails (account verification, team invitations, password resets).
  • We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. QuickBooks and credentials

  • We never see or store your QuickBooks username or password: authentication happens on Intuit's secure page via OAuth 2.0.
  • We store only the access and refresh tokens Intuit issues to us, encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
  • You can disconnect QuickBooks and revoke access at any time from the QuickBooks screen inside the platform.

4. Security

  • Data is transmitted over HTTPS and passwords are stored with Argon2 hashing.
  • Third-party tokens and secrets are encrypted at rest.
  • Data access is segmented per company (multi-tenant isolation) and governed by roles and permissions.

5. Retention and deletion

  • We keep your data while your account and companies are active.
  • When you delete a company, its data becomes inaccessible and is flagged for removal.
  • You may request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.

6. Your rights

  • You can access, correct or delete your personal data.
  • You can revoke the QuickBooks connection at any time.
  • To exercise these rights, contact us.

7. AI-powered features

  • The platform includes an optional AI Analyst: a chat that answers questions about your company's finances.
  • When you use it, your question is sent together with financial context derived from your own company (aggregated metrics and report lines) to Anthropic PBC, the provider of the Claude model, through its commercial API, encrypted in transit (TLS).
  • The dashboard's AI-generated Executive Brief works the same way: it is only generated when you explicitly request it (the "Generate AI brief" button), never automatically on page load, and sends the same kind of aggregated financial context (KPIs, deltas, financial DNA, open alerts) to the same provider under the same terms.
  • Anthropic acts as a service provider (data processor) and does not use this data to train its models, in accordance with its commercial terms.
  • We do not use your QuickBooks data to train any AI model either.
  • Both the AI Analyst and the AI-generated Executive Brief only access data for the companies you are a member of. When the AI feature is not enabled, a local analysis engine generates the answers and the executive summary without sending data to any third party.
  • Chat conversations and AI-generated briefs are stored linked to your company so we can show you the history.
